Founder Lannon Rust has spent more than two decades working across Central Coast hospitality, restaurant operations, wine buying, beverage direction, winery relationships, events and wholesale wine.

In its earlier chapter, Rust Wine Company grew from approximately six winery partners to nearly thirty. Lannon represented independent producers, developed restaurant and retail placements, supported tastings and events and helped wineries move excess inventory through alternative channels when traditional wholesale was not the right answer.

His hospitality career has included leadership as a sommelier, wine director, food and beverage manager, director of beverage, restaurant operator and co-owner of a full-service catering and commissary-kitchen business. His work has included restaurant and hotel openings, beverage programs, wine lists, staff training, service systems and events.

That experience provides a practical understanding of both sides of the business: how wineries think about inventory, pricing and brand integrity, and what hospitality operators need from a beverage program that is profitable and executable during service.

Rust Wine Company is now being rebuilt around confidential winery inventory strategy and beverage program consulting grounded in commercial reality.
